Why we ask for cash

We are a 100% local community interest company run by local volunteers for local people.

We are committed to supporting small and local communities and businesses right here in the North East.

As a non-profit organisation, we are completely independent so we aren't owned by a national plc group like many other media outlets in the North East, and we are so incredibly proud of that.
 
But with that comes a bigger challenge for us to maintain funding to keep providing local news, sport, business and entertainment to our communities.
 
We are fully committed to supporting small and local and hope you can return the favour by donating just £2* today.
